  1. How about a story on SNEECHES, the ultimate frisbee club?

  2. A story on Batten House

  3. Track your own dorm computer usage: How much time you spend using the computer. Record all activities (for example web surfing, e-mail, instant messaging, listening to music, watching DVD's etc). Record approx. times for the next 2-3 weeks.

  5. Staying on campus during Fall Break? What to do if you have a car...or are Septa-dependent. :)

    6. Did they do externships over Fall Break / Spring Break or "winternships?"

    7. What kinds of contributions have they made to the College?

  8. Best of the web. A list of the best sites.

  9. "They did what?!" Things that faculty and staff did that are funny or just plain interesting.

  10. Opinions section. (One article arguing "for" and one arguing "against".)

  11. International students section. First-hand information about the world.

    1. Where are they from?

    2. What can they tell us about their countries? Anything they want to tell to the Bryn Mawr community.

    3. What big issues currently concern their countries?

    4. Languages they speak. We could insert audio files so everyone can listen to them.

Ideas for regular features

These will probably form a link or a section (from a link) that will always be present. Think of it as "boiler plate" material for the actual content.

  1. A listing of selected off-campus events (perhaps updated every thursday/friday)

  2. An FYI section (having useful info)

  3. Sports events

  4. Food (restaurant reviews, what to do for less than $20)

  5. Crazy things faculty do....!!

  6. Advice column

  7. Frosh activities

  8. A running section on creative writing (student poetry, short story, etc)

  9. What's happening at the Point?

  10. Section where we interview one BMC student each week and make a collage of her likes and dislikes (e.g. music, fashion, food, magazines, academic subjects, etc.)

  11. A section dedicated to employees of the college (e.g. telephone services, post offices) whose services we take for granted. We can write about their achievements or a short biography.

  12. Who are the McBrides? Profiles of the McBride students -- who they are, what they are studying, what brought them to Bryn Mawr...and what their experience is like here, studying with students who are often much younger then they are.
