Mozilla Amaya Madness

This is a continuation of the exciting saga of installing edventure. You may wish to open this page in a second browser so you can see the screen grab and alt+tab between the text and the images that are at the bottom of this page.

going counter clockwise

--mozilla 1.2 frame 1 i've catted the index.php for edventure: note the "here's the"

frame 2 the edventure/index.php does not work in the next frame

frame 3 the source for index.php is not showing same as in the catted index.php note: the lack of the "here's the"

top right : [WWW]amaya edventure is getting partially rendered! but not completely ! and note at bottom the source code is not reflecting changes there either

I had just installed amaya, it has no history. [WWW]Mozilla I've dumped the cache and the memory. Still no go.

I've installed [WWW]lynx next to give this a go as well.

If you have any ideas what might be causign the moz mix up I'd be happy to hear it. Furthermore, why is amaya rendering the page but only partially?

Note as well! the <php is missing in both the Moz, Amaya and lynx. Very very strange. Nor are any of them showing the changes in the comments I've made in the source of the files. Begging the question of what-in-the-heck is getting served. NOTE: mysql and php scripts do work on my machine!

I would appreciate any thoughts you might have.

My sys specs: rh8

Apache/2.0.40 Server

phpMyAdmin 2.3.3pl1

MySQL 3.23.52 running on localhost as root@localhost

PHP Version 4.2.2

could it be something in my php.ini file (that's what I'm thinking is wrong at this point) below is the screen of the five frames: below that image is the lynx screen grab showing that the php is not showing the changes made to the index.php either!

Now, to throw a little more debugging spice into this bubbly brew of questions: lynx renders the source of the file starting at the same place as moz1.2!

/!\ We can't see images from your personal Edventure space (yet). Eventually, you'll be able to mark them as shared, but for now, all we get is a page of errors.

here's the lynx http://dennisgdaniels.com/edventure/ed_right.php?click=view_myfile&name=/lynxnotrenderingphpeither.png
and here's the lynx rendering: note the rendering is performed exactly as it does with [WWW]Mozilla1.2 scroll up to see the uncanny parallels betweent the moz rendering of the page and lynx's rendering! http://dennisgdaniels.com/edventure/ed_right.php?click=view_myfile&name=/lynxisnotrenderingphpeithersmall.png
