I'm concerned about how the team teaching will work?1.2.2. Computer use?
Can the Mac laptops be taken from the library?A: Yes, if you are on the list of authorized users!
Can I get a printed copy of the Mathematica notebook we tried in lab?
A: Yes, Prof. Francl will bring one to class on Wednesday.
How can I get Mathematica on my computer in my room?
A: You can buy it at www.wolfram.com for only (!!!) $140. Mathematica is on all the chem laptops for checkout, on the Collier computers, in Guild. If there is another campus owned computer you know of that doesn't have it, let us know and we will arrange to have it installed.
1.2.2.1. Wiki Web
Will we get a chance to practice this?A: Of course! There will be an assignment this week.
1.2.3. Lab
Do we need a real lab notebook for this course?A: Yes, you do! It doesn't need to have carbon copies, just bound pages. A composition notebook will do fine. Lab reports will get handed in as typed documents.
