Procrastination Issue Brainstorming

Procrastination Issue Brainstorming

Please add your input (these are meant to be funny -- not serious, especially the extension one), and feel free to add more questions to ask. Thanks! --Samara

What are the best ways to procrastinate?

  1. sage.brynmawr.edu

  2. Head over to Dunkin Donuts at 4 a.m. and hang out with the DD crew

  3. Run around inside the Cloisters....naked ;)

  4. Pop in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, grab some popcorn, and plop down in front of the boob tube

  5. Stupid but entertaining online games evil people have invented

  6. Talking for 5 minutes to everyone you bump into on campus that you know

  7. Doing work in the computer lab or library because you can supposedly hide from all the rest of the students on campus thinking THE EXACT SAME THING!

  8. E-mail everyone you know individually complaining about all the work you have

  9. Dream about sleeping

  10. Take a hot shower. Eat. Take a nap. Repeat until guilt and reality set in. Whichever comes first.

  11. Triple check your flight information to calculate the exact number of minutes you have to procrastinate before you have to do your take home exams.

  12. Peter Pan-themed Midnight Breakfast in Erdman on Friday night!

  13. Sage's Bubblemania tea on Monday night!!

  14. Drink lots of jolt. Regret it when you can't concentrate enough to do anything. Not even sleep it off!

  15. One word: .planland.

  16. Have someone introduce you to Snood. Regret it for life.

What are the best reasons for getting/ways to get an extension?

  1. Because you have severe sleep apnia and need to spend as much sleeping before you can write a paper

  2. You saw a flying cow jump over the moon, and the sight disturbed you so much you just couldn't focus on your work.

  3. Your room was invaded by cockroaches and the food that they've been eating in the dining halls have mutated them into life sucking predators.

  4. While doing laundry after weeks of neglect, a gnome stole your favorite sock and you had to dive into the dryer to another dimension to chase after him. You thought you were only stuck in there for a few minutes when in this dimension, it was really for days.

  5. You were flying down the stairs to the basement of taylor to have photocopies made for a history presentation and banged your head violently against the overhang that no longer reads "watch your head." You suffer from a severe Copy Center-induced concussion and can no longer think -- let alone worry about the handouts from your presentation.

  6. You ate so many Ben and Jerry's ice cream novelties during exam snacks that you become very ill and had to be taken to Bryn Mawr hospital. Extra points if you are lactose intolerant.

  7. Extensions? But...you thought...all written work was due NEXT Friday at 5 p.m.?!?

  8. sage.brynmawr.edu absorbs all of your time.

  9. The topic of one of your papers is to study the effects of an extension on the motivation of a student to complete written work.

  10. You got way too much into last week's Holiday Dinner, and you now think that you're a woman buccaneer. You threaten your dean to give you an extension, or you'll make him or her walk the plank. arrrgh!!

  11. So how much more money do we still need to raise for the Challenging Women campaign?
