This interdisciplinary scholarship will train students from a variety of backgrounds in an approach to security that builds technical sophistication while looking beyond technology when approaching problems. It draws on a unique faculty from NYU-Poly, NYU-Stern, NYU-Steinhardt, NYU-Wagner, and NYU-Courant. We welcome applications from students interested in information security, including those with non-technical backgrounds such as law, business, media studies, and policy. Students must be U.S. citizens, and two years from graduation (undergraduates in their junior year, and graduate students beginning a Master's or within two years of completing a PhD). Download Brochure here . For application materials, scholarship obligations and further information about CRISSP and the ASPIRE program, please see our website at http://crissp.poly.edu . The deadline is March 1st, 2011. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Deepak. --- *********************************************************************** Clare Boothe Luce Graduate Fellowships For Women in Computer Science at Tufts University Tufts University is pleased to announce the availability of two Clare Boothe Luce Graduate Fellowships in Computer Science for Fall 2011. These fellowships allow students to receive a $32,000 annual stipend for two years, along with a full tuition scholarship. The fellowship recipients will be selected based on achievement and potential and must be female US citizens. All PhD and MS/PhD applicants for Fall 2011 who meet eligibility requirements will be automatically considered for the Luce Fellowships; no separate application is required. Tufts University is unique among strong Ph.D.-granting Computer Science Departments in the US for its large proportion of women faculty. About 50% of the tenured faculty are women. The department offers excellent research opportunities in a small and collegial departmental atmosphere. Tufts CS Ph.D. students have done well, with faculty positions at universities such as Northwestern, Wellesley, Brandeis Universities and industry positions at various industry and research labs. The fellowships are sponsored by the Clare Boothe Luce Program (CBL). Since its first grants in 1989, CBL has become the single most significant source of private support for women in science, mathematics and engineering. Clare Boothe Luce, the widow of Henry R. Luce, was a playwright, journalist, U.S. Ambassador to Italy, and the first woman elected to Congress from Connecticut. In her bequest establishing this program, she sought "to encourage women to enter, study, graduate, and teach" in science, mathematics and engineering. Tufts is grateful for the fellowship opportunities that will further Clare Boothe Luce's vision. For more information about the fellowships, please contact Professor Lenore Cowen at cowen@cs.tufts.edu ************************************************************************ -- Deepak Kumar Professor of Computer Science Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 dkumar@cs.brynmawr.edu, dkumar@acm.org http://www.cs.brynmawr.edu/~dkumar -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
