Their "Programming Python" book is good for advanced examples (GUIs, etc) but a little heavy (both mentally as well as physically) for the beginner. A lot of stuff is on-line, including several decent tutorials. http://www.diveintopython.org/ http://www.python.org/moin/BeginnersGuide I am in the same boat wrt. python. :-) Good luck, -bill Michael Moore wrote: > Ok. I find the O'Reilly books good, especially "Learning Python". Make sure you get one that covers at least Python 2.2, and even better if it goes up to Python 2.4. Others may have some suggestions, too. -Doug Michael Moore wrote: > Ok. Semester is over! > > Time to get back to GRAMPS again. :-) > > Can anyone reccomend a good concise python tutorial?
